Gerard Schmitter Cruise, Part 3

Hallo Iedereen,

 On this journey, one of the cities we visisted was the metropolitan Frankfurt. It has a beautiful skyline but more skycrapers are being build and that's why there were so many tower cranes.

Op deze reis bezochten we onder andere the wereldstad Frankfurt. De stad heeft een mooie skyline maar momenteel worden er nog verschillende wolkenkrabbers bijgebouwd, en staan er vele bouwkranen.

Personally, I prefer smaller towns, like Cochem, with its magnificent castle.
Persoonlijk geef ik de voorkeur aan kleinere steden, zoals Cochem, met zijn mooie burcht.

 Remarkable point of interests are the many castles along the Rhine and the Moselle.
Opmerkelijke bezienswaardigheden van de Rijn of the Moezel zijn de vele kastelen.

The highest bridge on this journey is most certainly the Moselle Valley bridge.
The hoogste brug op deze reis is zeer zeker de Moezeldal brug.

However, the lowest bridge, is the one before entering Koblenz. The competence of the captain is needed, and certainly with this ship, because it's only a matter of inches! Everything goes really slow and members of the crew are helping the captain navigate the ship.

De laagste brug daarentegen, is de brug nabij Koblenz. De vakkundigheid van de kapitein is nodig, en zeker met dit schip want de afstand tussen brug en schip is zeer klein en de matrozen helpen de kapitein met de navigatie.

Once again, we sail by the Loreley.
Opnieuw varen we voorbij de Loreley.
