Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I have uploaded some images - sorry. There were so many other things to do and there wasn't much time for photography. But, in the mean time you can take a look at my other blog or/and site. They are all about designing with Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop.

Photographing Animals - Look into their eyes.
When I go to the Zoo I always have a lot of fun with the camera. but, photographing there confronts you with lots of challenges ... some animals are behind glass, in cages or behind bars and it's not easy to get clean shots in those situations.
The next photos are taken with aperture priority.
Something I like to do is take photos while the animal is looking directly at you ...

I love those 2 shots - the gaze of that big cat was so intense - for a few seconds I felt rather uncomfy - grin

Sand Sculptures
The other day I went to "Sand World - 40 Artist, 40 Countries" ... a sand sculpture festival. Most of the sculptures were inside with spots shining on them, and this certainly isn't the ideal situation. It creates bright highlights and dark shadows so the trick is to find the right balance ... keep enough info in the shadows without washing out the highlights.
I had turned on AWB (Auto White Balance), and when viewing the images on the LCD screen, I thought they were ok, but later on I corrected the white balance via Photoshop (via camera raw).
