Equipment

My first digital was the Canon Eos 10D and it was (is) a joy to work with. Done so for 7 years. It's a wonderful camera and easy to use.

Recently I bought the Canon Eos 7D and having worked with the 10D, it was rather easy to get used to the new designed menu options.

What I love about this camera is that you can save your settings in it. You can set up your camera for landscapes for example, or actions, or portrait shooting and you save each of them in a custom program. It stores all your custom settings, like the focus points, white balance, program, menu settings, etc. Save it all to 'C1', 'C2' or 'C3'.

It's like having the pre-defined Landscape, Sports or Portraits programs in the D10, but now you can fine tune it to your own needs.
The speed of this camera is amazing : 8 frames/second. Perfect for action or sports.
For the 10D, I used a Sigma 28/200 zoom lens and a Sigma wide angle, but I wanted a real good 'all perpose' one for the D7. After reading multiple reviews the choice was made : I went for the  Canon - EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

The 10D with the Sigma's is now used as second camera, when I really want to zoom in, or need the wide angle lens so I don't have the hassle of changing lenses. My husband is taking his first steps on photography, and he's using the D10 too

Thanks for reading, 'till next time.
